About the Image(s)

In December of 2018 I visited friends in Washington DC. They lived in a highrise that overlooked a roof. It had snowed. Some large pieces of metal were atop the snow and looked interesting to me. I took the picture with a Canon 80 D set to 1/230 sec; f 7.1; and a Tamron 16-300 lens set to 300mm. Hand held, no filter. I processed the image in Lightroom (crop, adjustments) then in Photoshop I removed some of the metal "litter". Strangely I could not export the original image in a size below 1 Mb as required. So I took a screen shot and uploaded it. Any ideas why this image could not be sized under 1 Mb?

Hi Judith, I only wish for more snow in our area. The ironwork became an abstract when the snow texture was removed. I found myself wandering around the dynamic diagonals looking for a feature that I could center on. So i took parts from the upper right and rearranged them. Now you might think a face has appeared on a pole above the floating grill. Karl   Posted: 06/09/2021 09:23:26

I am fascinated by the original image, and Karl has really made it humorous- which I love! I need to look out for such opportunities, even though we have limited snow in Indiana.   Posted: 06/15/2021 19:27:48
