About the Image(s)
iPhone 15 Pro Max, Slow Shutter app, 2.22mm f2.2 ISO 40
I took this at Metropolitan Market. They often have beautiful flowers for sale. This is a double exposure in the app. In LR on my iPad I did the usual auto light to start and then cropped slightly, flipped it, played with reducing saturation and increased color temp +20 to more yellow, increased clarity and sharpness and finally decided to give the Adaptive Subject filters a try. I liked the look of warm pop. I am trying to go for a more painterly look. I am experimenting with LR, so please let me know if you have suggestions.

The painterly look is very nice. The only suggestion I would give would be to increase the Frame of the image to be able to give the Dahlias space .

Thank you, Mariann. I don't have an image with more space, but I like the idea and will try that in the future.   Posted: 10/13/2024 03:24:55

Very artistic effect. What app did you use to slow the shutter speed and do the double exposure? The image is darker than the original. I really like the high key effect of the original and would lighten the image to create a more pastel high key. Instead of "auto light" in LR, try sliding the sliders in the basic adjustments.   Posted: 10/20/2024 18:57:30

I like your high-key rendition, Judith. I used the Slow Shutter app in iOS. If you don't change any settings, you can do another image on top of the first. I save the first image if I like it and then overlay with a second image. I will play with the sliders. Thanks for the tip.   Posted: 10/23/2024 22:46:00

Hi Heather, I like your pastel interpretation. It's soft and pleasing. It might print well on highly textured paper or canvas which would soften the fine detail lines from the multi exposures. I like the exposure as is. Karl   Posted: 10/20/2024 22:14:01

Thank you for your comment, Karl. I have yet to print anything except as small images on thick printing paper, but I did get some photo art papers in different textures and will give it a try as soon as I figure out how to make this new printer work.   Posted: 10/23/2024 22:51:00

Heather, this is marvelous... and thank you for explaining how to make such effective imagery with the Slow Shutter app!   Posted: 10/24/2024 06:06:02
