About the Image(s)
I use Sony A1 f/8 1/125, ISO 800
This photo was taken in a rice field in Vietnam. It was a cloudy day.
I brighten the whole image on camaraw. In order to make some levels of the cloud, I also used the brush to add yellow on the race field and add blue on some of the cloud.

This is really nice. I think your rendition is perfect. I really like the leading lines of the field's contours.   Posted: 10/05/2024 01:39:14

Thanks Ed. It was not easy to get there. We asked a vietnamese men to ride us up the hill on the motorcycles around 20 mins. When we got there, it was rare to see such a beautiful scenery, I felt that everything was worth it.   Posted: 10/13/2024 12:01:16

Great image! And I love the three people walking, which gives us a perspective on how big the rice fields are. Beautifully processed.
If you aren't going to compete with it, I'd remove the little distracting white box to the left of the shack (house?), but removing it would make this image not eligible for "Travel", as it is a reality based category.

Pei-Fan, to be in Travel it depends if you removed anything from the original image and if it still looks the same. Here are the Travel rules (and all other PSA rules). When you pick a PSA competition, you must also look at the rules for that competition, as they often have specific size requirements and other local rules that must be followed.
For example, if you asked three farmers to walk into the field, that is a "set-up" and can not be entered in Travel. It can be entered in Color.

They also have rules for judges (very helpful for competitors) in simplified Chinese, if that is even more helpful.

An easy way to start competing with PSA is their Facebook page. Simple rules--no AI and all parts of photo must be your own, you can only enter one image per day-- and there is no cost. You do not even need to be a PSA member. Rules are pinned at the top of the link below:

This is a beautifully composed and cropped image-I really like it! Years ago, I saw rice fields like this in Bali, Indonesia, but only from a moving bus, so I couldn't take proper photos, just a few quick snapshots. I'd love to visit again, especially in countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.   Posted: 10/07/2024 02:41:53

I love your image. It is outstanding with great curving lines, color, human interest and composition. I have no suggestions.   Posted: 10/12/2024 11:07:42

I agree with the abaove compliments.
To me, it would look slightly more natural if instead of the blue, grey were used to add features into the sky area.
A couple areas of the horizon (sky-mountain interface) have a white halo from sharpening. This can be removed by cloning from an adjacent region of cloud using a darken only mode of a cloning tool. The darken only makes for a very rapid and precise process.   Posted: 10/13/2024 15:17:36
