About the Image(s)
Sony A7rv, Sony 90mm 2.8 Macro, f11, 100/sec, ISO400, 16 images assembled in Helicon, post adjustments in LR and PS to reduce background and clone distractions. Sharpened in Topaz Photo AI.
Normally I would sharpen in the LR but I have found it does not do as well for focus stacked images. Anyone have that experience?

Hi Dan: Like your composition of the 3 Clematis flowers, all 3 different in size and arranged in a nice design. The largest flower at the upper right kind of anchors the picture. Regarding sharpness; all 3 flowers appear very sharp in detail to me, think your 16 stacked images were beneficial for this. The darkened background supports the trio of flowers very well, looks very natural. If I had one minor suggestion it would be to add a thin border around your picture, it would separate your image from the black web page of our circuit.   Posted: 09/02/2023 23:44:34
Dan, really great photo - nice colors, sharp flowers, good background, although if I can be picky, do not like the brownish glob (is this an appropriate word) in the upper right corner and I would suggest just a little more room at the top. Regardless, a fine photo. Ray   Posted: 09/06/2023 20:52:00
Thank you Judy for your thoughtful edits. I thought about moving the bottom blossom, but felt the compositional triangle was stronger, I do like making the bottom blossom larger though. thanks again   Posted: 09/09/2023 23:31:35
The flowers are nicely arranged. Sharpness and colour contrast between flowers and background fine. Good job with focus stacking.   Posted: 09/12/2023 00:58:17
The composition is intriguing for me. 3 Flowers, a big, a medium and a small one. The 2 biggest are together? and ons stand a little above the other. The third one (small one) is a little far from the 2 others. It is unusual. This is why it is a good picture.
Nice contrast of colors (blue and yellow).
No experience for your question.   Posted: 09/17/2023 12:25:07
