About the Image(s)

I shot this image of galahs taking flight from the tree line behind Dajarra Dam at sunrise. The morning light provided a great reflection of their flight over the dam. Dajarra Dam is located in Western Queensland (Australia), the dam is used by cattle and wildlife as a water point.

Nikon D500 Tamron 24 - 70
1/80sec f6.3
24mm
ISO800

In lightroom I increased the vibrance, blacks and Contrast and adjusted the WB

I think you did a great job with this image. I really like the silhouette effect you created. The shutter speed you chose is nice because it allowed a slight blurring of the birds creating a sense of motion, but freezing them enough to be able to clearly identify them as flying birds. In my opinion your composition is great and the leading lines draws the viewer in.   Posted: 10/17/2021 10:04:38
