About the Image(s)
I was challenging myself to find images with lots of texture. I went through some very old captures (from PSA conference in San Antonio) and found this cactus. I cropped it as a color image, but never thought of monochrome until now. I really like it. I was thinking of adding a tiny red ladybug. What do y'all think? It will be heading to competition.
Shot with NIKON L-840, 13mm lens at f/4.3, 1/30th sec at ISO 180.

I like this picture as it is a creative approach to a somewhat static subject It for me is a toss up between fine art and minimalist. Not sure how the red ladybug would fit it other than it would stand out agaist the black. The white bacground is what makes this stand out for me well done

Actually I think it is a nice rendition as is. Love B&W plants to show structure and geometry!   Posted: 11/06/2023 13:14:20
Very cool, Melissa! It almost looks like a black-and-white watercolor painting. I'd be interested in seeing the ladybug! 🐞   Posted: 11/07/2023 12:05:54
How nice, Melissa!
Your creativity wins here. Few can image that this is cactus.
This is an art truely. There is no right or wrong in the art.
I appreciate as it is...
Good luck in the competition.   Posted: 11/10/2023 00:43:27
