About the Image(s)
During my trip I visited a city where a lot of rationalization was applied when planning and building it about 90 years ago. De Chirico was inspired by this city and in some of his paintings you can see this influence.
This is a photo of the entrance to the cemetery. I was wondering if I should "clean up" the walls and make them nice and white as they were originally or leave them as they are.

WOW - what a great difference between the color and the mono. I feel this is most effective with the totally black sky and the very dark tree shadows because it balances the image and really makes the building stark in its whiteness. The detail under the arch is set off by arches and the matching rectangles of the structure. I love this one and would score it quite high in a competition.
The only editing I might suggest is to remove the low parts of the building on the far left and right and let the main structure stand alone.   Posted: 09/11/2023 08:15:20

Hey Giovanna, I agree with Melissa, nice shot. I was not sure what to do with so much sky (or darkness), so I changed the perspective to more of a panorama and cropped in. I clonned out some of the dead grass. This is a cool shot. I hope you don't mind me putting a spin on it. I like the building, so let's make is all about the building. Again, nice job.   Posted: 09/18/2023 19:36:59

The colour is good, the mono superb. I love the contrast, leading lines and the way you have darkened the sky.   Posted: 09/19/2023 14:44:55
A very good simple image, with good toning. My only suggestion would be to slightly crop both sides up to the start of the white walls. Well done
