I shot it with Canon R6, manual settings. Used photoshop and nik collection to turn it black and white. I wish I could have avoided the notice board in the spot where the tree is, but I just didn't manage.

Giovanna - this is just a nice travel shot in color. BUT in mono it becomes much more. The interplay of the clouds and castle is wonderful. The eye keeps moving back and forth between them. I never noticed the sign board until you mentioned it. Contrast is the star here because the boundaries between the blacks and whites are so well-defined. I love the diagonal line between the lower left and upper top of the tower. I wish the left-hand tree were smaller because for me, it seems to disrupt that diagonal line. I like the image and the toning. Like Melissa I did not pay any attention to the sign, as it is as much a part of the scene as the Castle and the people. I did crop it a bit on the left side as I think that helps with the balance. Posted: 05/12/2023 18:10:13
