About the Image(s)
At Kinzua Bridge state park - overseeing this majestic gorge, we have a beautiful Kinzua bridge (which was hammered by a tornado). In summer - this valley is lush green. I loved this view where among trees with lush green leaves, stood out this lone, dead tree /leafless beauty.
Shot at 1/500 f/5.6 using canon 7dm2 at 45mm
Edits used - Dehaze filter, contrast adjustment through a preset in Affinity and finished in SharpenAI

Your idea behind this image Dhananjay is good, but in my humble opinion, the execution could be better. Let me ask some questions. If the story of this image is the dead tree among all the other healthy ones, as a percentage of the image area, how much does the dead tree occupy? Much of the greenery surrounding the subject tree could be considered excessive, if some of this is cropped out, has anything essential to the image been removed? Yes, a sense of location is needed, but so much? A lot of details and sharpness appears lost, is this due to the small file size of just 54kb? Please don't take all this as being negative, I'm just trying to help strengthen your image. Of course you are the photographer and free to present your work anyway you wish to. I have attached a cropped version and also given the contrast a kick in PS, just as an alternative. What are your thoughts please?   Posted: 11/12/2023 00:38:15
Dhanajay...an interesting image and the lone dead tree tells perhaps the story of the Tornado? Or was it just a quirk of mother nature? I agree with Ian, if you were to crop some of the green away, your story would be just as obvious, and your lone dead tree more striking. I'm curious, was the dead tree caused by the tornado, and did (prior to the tornado)) this view include a bridge? Guess I'm trying to piece it together from the info you provided.   Posted: 11/22/2023 14:13:47
Dhaanajay - interesting image - Could easily be a conservation story, but I tend to agree with both Sherry and Ian - It is a difficult challenge to tell a conservation story. On the other hand - the trees are impressive and I would like to see more.   Posted: 11/24/2023 12:35:23
