About the Image(s)
The photo was taken in Jan last year when we joined a Yellowstone winter tour. Yellowstone in winter is absolutely magical. It is cold but everywhere is surreal. Unlike summer, exploring Yellowstone in winter is less congestion and has more opportunities for wildlife viewing. Taken with Nikon D850 and Nikon 18-35mm, 1/400 sec, f/16, 19mm, iso-100.
Thanks,

Really nice composition and gives the appearance of a cold winter morning in Yellowstone. The clear blue sky add some color to the normal wintery white colors and having the people hiking on the trail with the steam around them adds perspective to the scene.   Posted: 05/12/2023 16:36:36
Yellowstone in the winter is magical and you have captured it at it's best! The bluebird sky with the steam and the snow in all different perspectives, with bright sun and also shadows. Nicely done.   Posted: 05/13/2023 15:39:29
A unique opportunity and a stunning composition. By including your fellow hikers in the red jackets you pull the eye directly into that atmosphere of cold, steam, and beautiful blue sky! The tree on the left also adds to the composition because the others are mere hints because of the steam. Must have been a cold but wonderful trek! Picture perfect.   Posted: 05/15/2023 14:31:38
A wonderfully planned image Peter. Staying back a little to allow your fellow hikers advance into the frame to provide points of interest is very clever move. Compositionally, everything about this image is spot on. And I thought it was cold here today !!!!   Posted: 05/21/2023 03:05:55
