About the Image(s)
I visited Rotterdam for the first time in November 2019 on a short week-long cruise (we are luck to live 1/2 hour away from Southampton, a major cruise port). November was a great time of the year to visit.
We are new to cruising and on visiting a port for the first time, we like to walk within the town/city (rather than travel inland on an organized trip). Rotterdam has lots of parks and interesting places to experience for the 7 hours we have in port.
This was one view and I often point the camera down in reflection situations to achieve a different viewpoint. Taken with Olympus gear including a very useful travel lens 12-100 f4 Pro (FF 24-200) - settings ISO1,600 1/200 f14. Not much PP work done after a small crop.
I include a 2nd “Original” - just to show that we also saw an old windmill close to the city centre

What a lovely reflection image! I like the way the reflection creates an abstract quality. I was thinking that a bit more contrast might make the image more effective. I brought your image into PS and tried some filters from Color Efex Pro. I used the classical soft focus, skylight and graduated neutral density filters. What are your thoughts?   Posted: 12/17/2021 14:51:20
