Hi Mary. I don't know this area and I'm not sure if that's a disadvantage. Being honest, I find it difficult to appreciate the scale of what we are seeing. Judging by the trees, not many "hundreds of feet" as I have witnessed near Page.
I like your PP, which has made the scene clear with good detail. I'm just left a tad numb because I feel I should be impressed by the cliffs, but the upward view makes their appreciation difficult for me.   Posted: 07/09/2021 13:10:39

It may be difficult to grasp how small some of the trees in the foreground are. Without that understanding, the massive cliffs may be hard to grasp. I'll check some other images from that trip to see if they present scale better.

Mary, I like this shot. The trees lead my eye upward towards the cliffs and your PP brought out the colors well. Some more sky might have helped with the scale issue.   Posted: 07/09/2021 16:51:19

Mary, I have also had difficulty composing scenes like this to really show the grand scale of the cliffs and mountain. Your PP made the color pop and I like the way you used the trees as a base. Bruce   Posted: 07/10/2021 16:35:58

Mary, I like how the trees lead the viewer to a path on the left and that path leads the eye across the mountains to the right. I agree with the others about the scale and I also found your pp to be effective.   Posted: 07/12/2021 14:03:18

Mary, nice landscape, sharp and with vivid colors. The green of the trees brakes the monotony of the earth tones, and the blue sky with a few clouds adds interest to it.   Posted: 07/12/2021 22:19:34
