About the Image(s)

A few years ago I was visiting Grand Teton National Park and noticed that the pronghorns were focused on the rut so were not paying attention to me. I was able to get out of my car and got some really nice images of them with nice light. Teton National Park is recognized as one of the best places in the USA to view wildlife and it always seems to produce. Within a mile of this location I have photographed moose, elk, deer, bison, coyotes, bluebirds, and one of the most iconic landscapes in the world. I have included a view of the area about a mile away from the pronghorn

Bruce, beautiful image of the pronghorn that has already shed the antlers or horns for the year. Nice non distracting background. Thanks for the additional image of the Mormon Barn.   Posted: 10/03/2024 22:21:33

I think this is a small female pronghorn, both male and female have horns however the females horns are much smaller often appearing as bumps. I also got wonderful images of the male who was keeping the females rounded up and making sure they did not run away.   Posted: 10/03/2024 22:36:04

Bruce - this is a lovely clean image of your Pronghorn, with very sympathetic muted colours in the ground/background. I like the space you have given it.

I also enjoyed your Morman Barn extra image. We went a good number of years ago in the fall on our way up to Yellowstone.   Posted: 10/19/2024 11:35:11

Hi Bruce, this image of the pronghorn in its environment is well-captured, with the pronghorn standing out nicely against the surroundings due to the sharpness and detail of the animal. The colours are very appealing and create a beautiful contrast. If I could suggest one improvement, I'd recommend cropping a bit off the top of the image to place the pronghorn on the thirds-it could enhance the composition even further.   Posted: 10/26/2024 08:35:02

Bruce, this is a beautiful image of the pronghorn. The colors are particularly pleasing to my eye and enhance the presentation of the animal. The pronghorn is sharp and combined with the soft lighting creates a nice effect.
