About the Image(s)

I took this picture this morning. It as a dreary, damp, misty day and I thought that I would find some interesting pictures on the waterfront or in the Blue Hills. I finally found one on the Eustis Estate in Milton.
Information is as follows:
Nikon 780
50 mm lens
ISO 2500
Speed 1/1000

My intent was to find a nice foggy image by the river or perhaps the fish pier. I did find this path heading into the Blue Hills and the mist. There are only minor edits, some branches that I found distracting , cropping, and two NIC filters Fog and Pro Contrast.

What a beautiful capture! You've got two excellent leading lines into the image -- the line of trees on the left and the faint trail or roadway in the middle. I also think your processing enhanced the image as well. Nice work!   Posted: 01/03/2022 09:00:39

I think the lower perspective was a great choice. I also like the way the road and the trees lead the viewer's eyes back to the layers of hills in the background. Nice image!   Posted: 01/13/2022 06:29:18

I like the color tune and overall composition, and the calmness it presents. I will keep more grass path to have a better balance.   Posted: 01/13/2022 18:09:56

I like this image. The leading line is good, taking you past the trees into the unknown with some good haze in the mid ground. I think perhaps you could afford to lose some of the right hand side which seems to unbalance the image a bit. I cropped it and set the black and white points. The histogram shows a lot of empty area in the highlights which setting the B & W points fixes. I also thought that with there being no leaves on the trees, that cooling the image down might give a slightly more wintry feel to it.   Posted: 01/14/2022 16:07:24

Beautiful image and experiment on leading lines. I feel still it's don't take me on the road. Keeping focus at 1/3 of road would given a great depth. Overall nice image.   Posted: 01/14/2022 18:50:04
