This is a charming shot.
Won't you please tell us the place, and is there a story to how you took the picture, either to get/find the place, or how you planned and executed the shot. Thanks.   Posted: 12/02/2021 20:02:05

This shot I took at dawn time on Thanksgiving at Manasquan Reservoir New Jersey USA. I heard a lot about this place where these dead trees are in a reservoir so We decided to visit Manasquan Reservoir New Jersey USA on Thanksgiving to do some shoot at dawn. At dawn the sun brought vibrant colors in the sky and fortunately there were clouds also. And that was my shot. I got a habit where I don't capture my shot perfectly and always think it will be corrected in the lightroom which I want to get rid off. I compose my shot very carefully so post processing would be minimal and this shot is direct from the camera. I did a very small cropping only.   Posted: 12/05/2021 12:25:18

Lovely peaceful scene and well taken. There's a small distracting branch end or something on the extreme right which I think needed removing and I think the tree on the left is almost surplus to requirements. Either that or you could clone out the 2 twiggy bits near it.   Posted: 12/08/2021 06:08:00

I agree with the comments above. I think you also have the ability to work with this image to create an entirely new look. I would crop down on some of the branches protruding from the water. By focusing on a smaller scale, you could have an interesting abstract of the stems, shadows and pretty colors in the water. This isn't to distract from the nice landscape you've done, but simply a suggestion about how you can gain another, different image from this.   Posted: 12/09/2021 07:49:08

Thank you for your comments and suggestions and agree on the distraction. This is another one which don't have any distraction.   Posted: 12/09/2021 21:59:19

I love reflections! This is a beautiful image. I like the tree on the left because it as a different shape than the rest and I prefer the submitted image because it has more color.

While I admire your desire to get it right in camera, I agree that a bit of clean-up (at least the sensor dust) would benefit it.   Posted: 12/10/2021 02:12:27

Great composition. The image reflects the time you spent setting it up. I really like the reflections and the stillness of the water.   Posted: 12/31/2021 12:34:38
