I love the framing of the Taj with that arch. Nice contrast there.   Posted: 08/01/2022 13:48:18

I always love pictures of the Taj, and this is no exception! You obviously had great weather, and a very interesting perspective with the arch making an excellent frame for the building. I know when you are there and want to use this arch for a frame, you don't have a lot of flexibility in your location, but if it were possible, it would be nice if the Taj could fill a little more of the frame- and also if it were a tad more to the left of the frame. I tried scaling up the building within the frame to see what it would look like, and i've attached my effort. Also, it would also be nice to see a little detail on this side of the frame just to give it a better sense of identification. Just some thoughts- but I really like the picture and wish I could have been with you there to take it!

Thanks for the thoughts Kirk, I agree scaling the Taj up was a good idea, as for the rest I was lucky to be able to use the f stop I did. I could not get any more in.   Posted: 08/16/2022 18:46:58

Hi Geoff,
I love it. I saw multiple versions of the Taj but none with such a nice window. You were able to put your vision/personal touch on a famous landmark.
Great work!   Posted: 08/13/2022 13:23:17

Hi Geoff, this was one of my dream image before I came to this place. Taj Mahal with gate frame. You make me review my Taj images and wondering where did you get this angle? Definitely not from the main entrance. Was it from the side corridors?   Posted: 08/15/2022 22:26:58

Thanks Frans, I took the shot to the left of the main gate. Like you I have seen so many shots of the Taj I was trying to make it a little different to put my personal stamp on it. I was lucky there was no scaffolding around the turrets.   Posted: 08/16/2022 18:41:03

Look how PSA add rim light to this gate frame for their brochure.   Posted: 08/21/2022 20:35:47

Nice shot. Nice framing. Beautiful lighting. Now, to just have less people which can't be done anymore. It's the curse of the current day, too many tourists.   Posted: 08/15/2022 23:30:20
