About the Image(s)
It is of the Moon Country near the pole mining town of Coober Pedy. A place where they trained the American Astronauts preparing for the moon trip. That is why it is called the Moon Country. It was taken with my drone. 3.61mm f2.8 1/460sec

Hi Geoff-
That's a pretty dramatic shot: very flat terrain with only one notable feature, which really draws your eye across the picture. The vehicle on the highway helps to give it perspective and a bit of story. Very interesting.   Posted: 10/07/2024 02:01:37

Nice drone view of this vast landscape. The highway and the size of the truck are key in helping with the perspective.
This view certainly demonstrates how large is Australia, as this represents only a very small portion of South Australia.
I can see why one would think that this is the surface of the moon!
I agree with Kirk, this is a pretty dramatic shot. I like it.   Posted: 10/11/2024 21:14:54

Hi Geoff. I agree with all good words from Kirk and Pierre. To me, the highway and the truck is the essential elements here. My instinct is always to make these elements more distinct in the scene. I normally increase the contrast of the essential elements. Apply a bit of desaturation and vignette to the non-essential elements. Finally did the final crop. Every photographer has their own way and taste for editing. This is a matter of my personal preference.   Posted: 10/26/2024 02:42:55
