About the Image(s)

Everyone probably has an image of a great egret in breeding plumage, preening. I liked this one because the head was behind the feathers.

Image was cropped. Bright spots behind feathers removed with content aware fill. Spotting to remove background bright spots. Some dodging and burning-dodging to enhance feathers. Enhance eye, lower warm color cast. Sharpening, contrast, reduce highlights, darken background.

It is a different version of a Great Egret in plumage, so great points for her "lacy veil". I love that you made it into a vertical.   Posted: 08/02/2022 20:53:57

I think this is a lovely image -the wing makes it look like a veil across the head and neck.   Posted: 08/06/2022 09:56:51

Again well processed Candy, great composition and detail in the feathers adds strength to the pic, don't mind the diffused face of the bird I think it adds felling to the pic.   Posted: 08/08/2022 00:10:19

Another beautiful image and well processed. I commend you for getting rid of the other white birds on the left side of the wing.   Posted: 08/08/2022 10:45:58

Just beautiful. This is the first time I saw this preening perspective with the "vail" effect - Shy egret?!   Posted: 08/13/2022 13:50:02

The way you darkened the image is really nice. I think it really helps to draw focus to the bird. At first I thought you made it a monochromatic sepia toned image until I saw the beak. It is very well processed and I wouldn't change anything about it.   Posted: 08/17/2022 14:24:17
