About the Image(s)
The is an underground water cistern in the town of El-Jadida, it had been built by the Portuguese in 1541 as initially as an arsenal then an armoury and then in 1541 used onwards as a cistern to store water for the town in the event of the town being under siege. It was lost and found in 1916 and was used by Orson Wells for scenes in his production of Othello in 1952

Very interesting historical place. We use large water towers to maintain the water pressure and store water nowadays. I wonder how they would get to this water back in the 1500s. I also wonder how they kept the water pure back then as well. Great 3D image and there's still a little water now.   Posted: 05/11/2023 22:17:23
Excellent 3D image. I liked the composition, lighting and sharpness. The reflection in water adds more interest. Well done. No suggestions from me.   Posted: 05/14/2023 14:41:53

Excellent stereo image. There is a lot to look at with the intersecting arches and the water on the floor covering the tiled floor. Great color and exposure. And thank you for the history behind this scene. It always amazes me how humans have been able to construct such intricate, beautiful, and massive structures for thousands of years.   Posted: 05/25/2023 00:04:58
