About the Image(s)

I took image 1 with my Canon Rebel XT camera. I liked it enough to remove the, street light, fire hydrant, cars, school crossing sign and shadows with PhotoShop as seen in image 2. I then converted it to 3D the hard way, but making layers of individual parts (man, trees, flag, building sides, sidewalk, ETC) and adjusting them to form the other image. I found the building top in another view of the same street and added that. If you look closely, you can probably find a few things I still need to work on - but that’s the way it is.

Excellent Stereo conversion. Image is sharp and has nice side lighting. Your editing is spot on. May be minor prespetive adjustment can be done on the buidling. Nice work.   Posted: 06/19/2022 04:41:49

I would never have known this was a conversion from a single image with elements removed. The 3D is sharp and very well done. There is nice exposure on the right side of the building since we can see details. I'm just curious as to how long it took you to do this process and arrive at your final image?   Posted: 06/20/2022 21:14:59

I can't remember how long it took, probably several hours. Retired, I like to play around with Photoshop to pass the time. I think the hardest part was to remove the shadows and things on the side walk and then lay the sidewalk down level with the ground in Photoshop. I'm sure there was at least 10 layers in Photoshop. If you look real close, there is a string hanging from the left leg of his pants on the left image that I missed in the right image. And there's a small black blob flying up in the upper sky only on the right image. There's a couple more things -- but that's the way it is.   Posted: 06/21/2022 12:31:43

You did work hard on this image but it was worth it as there is very little visible that is out of period other that the modern bicycle.   Posted: 06/24/2022 15:27:45
