About the Image(s)

I call this "The last Rose of Fall". All the tree leaves have fallen but the rose bush in our front yard still had this solo rose blooming. I took it, placed it in the vase with some fall leaves behind it and used my phone to take these pictures. My computer died last month and I still haven't got it back from being repaired. So I don't have access to any of my photo programs. The image is pretty much as I took it..

Interesting shot David, hope you've got your computer back and running soon.   Posted: 11/09/2021 20:10:09

An interesting shot and something that is different as on this side of the pond do not have any roses with leaves that shape and the rose itself is appears to be smaller than ours.   Posted: 11/10/2021 13:58:36

The brown leaves are from a tree and I picked them up off the sidewalk. The little green leaves are rose leaves. My wife said that it is a rose, even though it's rather small. She got the rose plant in a pot for a gift and it stayed on our kitchen counter until it looked rather withered. I took the plant out to the front yard and planted it and it has grown into a good sized bush. The flower is more white than the image, but I couldn't fix the color in Photoshop as my computer is still being repaired.   Posted: 11/10/2021 22:48:26

Fun 3D still life, David. I have a late rose also.   Posted: 11/15/2021 09:17:59

Good job on the cha-cha. I often use 3dStertoid Pro on my phone to adjust images when I'm on the move. It does most of what SPM does. And my phone's photo editing software is fine for basic color adjustments and even some complex edits.   Posted: 11/22/2021 23:59:39

Interesting table top image. I liked the colors and composition. Did you think about making this into a phantogram? The image has nice depth. The deatils in vase is missing. May be a little shadows adjustment will improve further.   Posted: 11/26/2021 01:35:08

The vase has no details. It is a pure black, glass vase that bends back and forth a little. I have lightened the image some and added a colored mask. Let me know what you think. I'll use the image in the next exhibition.   Posted: 11/26/2021 12:52:17
