About the Image(s)

We visited the canyonlands in June 2013 and one of the locations we visited was Grand Canyon. It was very hot when we were there hens the heat haze, and I wanted to try to capture the width of the valley at the location. The hills in the background are about 10 miles away. It is a sequential pair taken on a D700 at 1/200th at f13

Brian, What makes this 3D photo for me is the foreground. It gives some nice depth to the image. Its too bad the lighting did not allow the nice red grand canyon walls to come out.   Posted: 05/07/2021 16:33:08

Another great landscape image. The depth of this image works well on my computer but if it were projected on a large screen the separation in the background might be too much and hard to see. I really like the image and the perspective it gives with objects close and the landscape behind.   Posted: 05/10/2021 00:05:15

Nice stereo nature shot. Curious, what was the interocular?   Posted: 05/13/2021 19:15:13

Very nice landscape. There is good depth. Close, middle and far objects are well placed. May be the poor lighting and haze have affected the quality of the image. I played with photoshop quickly and result is given here   Posted: 05/22/2021 04:19:03

I appreciate and I do like the removal of the haze but I had kept it in to give a feeling for the place and also the great distance involved   Posted: 05/24/2021 15:22:41

The tree and rocks in the foreground make the picture. The two times I've been to the Grand Canyon (south and north) the haze/smog was a problem, which is unfortunate for the beauty of this landscape. I like that there was a dip in the foreground rocks so that the base of the tree was visible.   Posted: 05/25/2021 23:33:52
