About the Image(s)

Going for the snowy winter scene, here. From the Palouse a couple years ago. Maybe take the contrast up a bit in the sky? But I think I’m close.

Hi Jack,

Very strong, interesting, storytelling capture imho. I like this a great deal, and I wouldn't dare suggest bolder contrast or whiter whites! It stands as it is, moody and simple. If there was ONE thing I might have changed...camera moved further to r.h. side to maybe...maybe...get more of the curving roadway.   Posted: 06/02/2021 09:17:23

Hi Jack. I love bad weather photography. You captured a beautiful scene in a snow storm and processed it well. I prefer the original composition with the whole tree. The extra negative space adds to much to the mood. Beautiful work.   Posted: 06/02/2021 18:39:17

Thanks Arik, that's an interesting idea about leaving the entire tree.   Posted: 06/09/2021 12:32:28

Hi Jack
As soon as I opened the image, I fell in love with it. It has all the ingredients of IR photography which you've captured so well. Post processing equally strong. Like it very much.   Posted: 06/03/2021 00:54:20

Jack, I like the way you cropped the image, increased contrast and put some highlights in the sky to make an otherwise bland sky more interesting. The rough road leads the viewer into this pillow soft image. Very relaxing and pleasant!   Posted: 06/06/2021 15:56:14

Jack, You always show us that simplicity works. There is lovely richness in the grasses and it is toned in your usual impeccable way. Great job!   Posted: 06/09/2021 10:19:59
