Hi Peter, this is a simple, but beautiful image. At a quick glance, one would say that the colors in it are black and pink...but there are so many more. I like the lighting and how you edited the background. The striations in the petals are eye-catching.

I am impressed how your editing has converted this image to one with a significant "graphic arts" feel to it. Perhaps in doing so, you have imparted a more simplistic feel to the image. I don't see the significance of the title. The image may have had a translucency to it originally, but this appears to have been lost with your edits. There appears to be a visual halo here especially at the top of the bloom where the texture of the background fails to go around the entire subject   Posted: 05/10/2021 14:14:41

This flower is at a pleasant angle and I like the way the stem doesn't come out directly from the corner. It is a personal preference as I know some people prefer a corner "entry" for a stem. The colors are fun and there's a luminous quality to the petals. Is the break in the background on the top of the flower a post processing issue? Depending on the subject, I find it difficult to adjust a background, particularly when the background is textured. Like Nancy, I like the lighting on the striated petals.   Posted: 05/10/2021 18:34:20

I like the back lighting to transilluminate, does a great job in bringing out details that I otherwise would not have realized were there. Also like the use of the flower's stem to lead into the flower itself.   Posted: 05/24/2021 08:01:24
