About the Image(s)
Here is an interesting shot of some watch gears. These were rather small, each being around 3 mm in size (see additional image showing gears against a ruler) Here I used my tripod mounted Canon EOS R6 body with a EF 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens. Here I collected a stack of 15 images (0.5 sec, f/7.1, ISO 2,000) and stacked the images in Helicon Focus, and further processed in Photoshop to remove distractions, adjust the exposure and to add an interesting background.

Hi Charlie: A very creative image, the gears just seem to float in space. You choose just the right background for the gears as everything just fits together. You did not add your usual thin border to this image, but in this case it was not especially needed. Really nice work as usual.   Posted: 05/11/2023 10:27:34
The reflection of the gears gives a nice depth to the picture. Everything is in focus and the different colors and designs make for a very nice interesting photo. The lighting is just right. Very nice shot!   Posted: 05/11/2023 15:23:09
Hi Charlie,
This is a creative and interesting image. The gears appear to be planets floating in space. Nicely composed. Sharp details on these tiny watch gears. Well done.   Posted: 05/12/2023 09:33:24

Interesting and I found the color differences in the gears was unexpected. Also I was surprised that they were so small. Reflections were precise and helped to make the image.

Hi Charlie, Nice work with interesting small subjects. The gears and their shadows upon the plain background are attractive and well focused.   Posted: 05/18/2023 11:26:41
