About the Image(s)

CANON R5
CANON 100-400
400mm
f/8
1/2500
ISO 125

WENT OUT TO LOCAL AREA TO SHOOT BIRDS (MY USUAL) SO YOU CAN SEE BY MY SETTINGS THAT WAS MY INTENT, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT OPORTUNITIES MAY COME UP, SO TAKE THEM WHEN THEY DO.
SO BY THIS YOU CAN TELL NOT A LOT OF THOUGHT WENT INTO THIS SHOT. I COULD OF CLOSED DOWN THE APERTURE A LITTLE, OR USED COMP EXPOSURE TO DIAL DOWN THE WHITES, EVEN MAYBE CRANKED UP THE SPEED.
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE, AND HOW DO YOU THINK IT WOULD HAVE EFFECTED THE IMAGE??

Hi Richard: In studying the image it certainly looks good to me, could not recommend changing anything. It is hard to get detail and texture in white pond lily petals as they do not have much texture to begin with; then it is very easy to burn out white petals anyway. I can see some detail in the white petals and that is good. Sharp detail on the bee with good placement within the frame. Nice Work...   Posted: 11/19/2021 20:30:56

Hi Richard, Nicely done even though you did not choose the shutter speed you normally would have for a stationary subject. The white of the petals is good and they show texture and some detail so bee happy with the image. Nicely composed and with good lighting.   Posted: 11/21/2021 10:05:41
