Lovely rhododendrons are blooming everywhere. I caught this one before
it opened. Processed the image in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop
Elements. After cropping and darkening the background a bit, I took it
into Nik Collection's Viveza. In Viveza I applied two control points on
the upper leaves to tone down bright spots.

Nice work. Colors work well. I like the positioning of the flower in the center. Might consider darkening the background even more to accentuate the flower more.   Posted: 06/06/2021 18:17:21

Hi Barbara: Nice close in picture of the Rhododendron bud. The bud is not dead centered but biased slightly to the right, a good idea in my opinion. Neal has a good idea in regards to darkening the light green leaves down somewhat, this would make the Rhody bud stand out more from the background. Using aperture of f/5.6 provided good sharpness on the bud with the leaves slightly soft in focus.   Posted: 06/07/2021 00:43:35
