Hi Gary,
Good idea. You have the elements of a minimalist image, simplicity, nice colors, contrast, and negative space. It is well exposed. I do wonder if you moved the subject out of the center and placed it in another part of the frame if it would improve the composition a bit. Maybe I would try to place it closer to the bottom left corner. Try flipping and cropping. I would also think about removing the bug to the left to the image.
