Georgia sunrise that didn’t perform well with this image in color, so perfect opportunity to make a silhouette. Standard BW pricing in Lightroom. Processed too many months ago to remember the details. To smooth out the clouds and ocean I shot @ 3.0 sec, iso 63, 62 mm with my 28-300 at f13.

Bob, I love what you did to convert to monochrome. The driftwood and wispy clouds give this image a nice sense of motion. Well done.
HOWEVER, I must stay that I like your color image too. Although you say it "didn't perform well", to my eye, the foreground is a bit too blue. I know this is a monochrome group, but I made a few color adjustments to the color version. What do you think? Posted: 05/04/2023 18:50:44

Hello Bob,
I like your silhouette photo of the driftwood in this scene. The branches also seem to follow the same angle as the clouds in the sky, leaning to the right. I love the color photo, and Bunny's edit makes that a hero shot, too. I do not have anything to add this go-round. Excellent work, Bob!

The B&W photo is excellent.

The color editors of Bunny have improved this frame many times over.

Bob, I love this dramatic image. Having the branch as a silhouette is wonderful. I felt it might be a bit "large for the canvas" if that makes sense. So, I added just a bit to the sides. I'm not sure my changes improved your outstanding photograph. Your thoughts? Posted: 05/23/2023 08:00:09
Bob, The composition is outstanding. The way you captured the driftwood creates a triangle of darkness that holds the subject together and keeps pulling me back to the subject. Nice job. Posted: 05/23/2023 13:31:47
