About the Image(s)
I started this in Lightroom and did some basic adjustments and a crop. Then I selected the subject, inverted it and darkened the background and added the stroke.
Shot at 1/250 at 6.3 (and should have used more for depth of field)

This is a lovely image of bleeding hearts. The colors are so rich and vibrant, and they stand out well against the dark background. I wonder if cropping the image to eliminate the last three flowers would put more attention on the flowers in focus.   Posted: 11/06/2023 23:38:04

Hi Marti. I haved tried to capture bleeding hearts many times and you have done an excellent job with this group. The way you have isolated these blooms and darkened the background is very effective. I agree with David that cropping out the less focused blooms could make the composition even more effective. I would also take out the little whitish blotch in the upper middle of the background.   Posted: 11/20/2023 19:05:02

I agree with the comments that cropping the out-of-focus blossoms at the top would make a stronger image...   Posted: 11/23/2023 02:06:23
