About the Image(s)
Here's September's image. Taken at Discovery Park, along the Sacramento River in Sacramento. My goal was to use one bridge as a frame for the second bridge. I also wanted to capture the river's reflection in the framing bridge.

Anne,
I like the way you used the foreground bridge as a frame for the river/background bridge and I like the muted blues and greens in the reflection on the water. I also like the dappled reflection and lighting on the underside of the foreground bridge. Overall, I think this is a well composed and pleasing architectural/landscape image. Nice work. The only small thing I might adjust is the highlight on the right-side of the foliage. I would darken that a bit to match the rest of the foliage.   Posted: 10/02/2024 14:50:45

Thanks Dean. I'll give your suggestion a try when I get home and have access to my desktop. I don't have any pictures or processing programs on my laptop.   Posted: 10/02/2024 15:46:38

Anne, I love the colors in this landscape. I like the old bridges, and they are hard to find. I like your idea of framing too. To my eye the top of the larger bridge does not add a lot, so some cropping and even more vibrance might make the colors pop to add to this lovely image. As it is, more muted, it might be interesting with a watercolor filter on it. Good shot!   Posted: 10/20/2024 02:45:45
