Hi Bruce, again a class action photo from you. In the picture you can feel the danger for the rider lying on the ground. Nice that it turned out well for him. For you, a visit to the rodeo in the future is certainly worthwhile.   Posted: 09/01/2021 04:30:16

Great photo Bruce well captured showing the near action that could fall upon the the rider. I will mention criticisms that were applied by 2 judges I witnessed on similar photos to yours at an interclub photo competition. Signage a distraction especially MILKING, persons fingers on handrails left side of photo, clowns shoes cutoff. I disagree entirely with these opinions, I suspect these judges come from a portrait/landscape background and want purity in the image, hardly achievable in this setting.   Posted: 09/11/2021 02:17:32

Thanks Ronald, you brought up some good points I find some of my wildlife/ nature images suffer from judges not familiar with certain animals. White hats of the cowboys are also hard to deal with and the cowboys tend to gather in the range of view to the action. Rodeo is really fun and interesting to photograph and can also provide some great people images, especially children and old people. Bruce   Posted: 09/12/2021 20:34:51
