Gloria, this image probably depicts a father with his son just sitting on the sidewalk resting or perhaps waiting for the transport. The image is very sharp and I like the sepia interpretation. On the other hand, I think that there is something missing to complete the image story: more environment so we can place them in context. Obviously, they are looking at you.   Posted: 11/14/2023 06:12:17
This image to me shows what could be a father and son, or even a boy with his uncle just taking five and sharing a moment. Their time was disturbed by the photographer, something that is not unusual nor is it a negative thing as far as the image goes. The look on their faces as they were looking at you tells it's own story. While often, actually more often than not some context helps and provides more to the story, I do not think in this case it is important, it is two people on the street facing a short disturbance in their personal time and as such I think it is well done.   Posted: 11/19/2023 08:09:03
Hi Gloria -- This portrait of a man and a boy doesn't give away too much. Apart from the craked old road suface at their feet we don't know anything about their environment. I like that they are isolated against the blank wall with no extraneous details cluttering up the composition. The man seems watchful; the boy concerned. Plenty of good detail in the clothing, and the warm tone works really well for this subject. I think this is a very nice image.   Posted: 11/20/2023 10:59:10
Gloria - A nice portrait and your sepia toning allows the viewer to focus on the two people rather than being distracted by color. There seems to be some artifacts between the people and the building, perhaps a little over-sharpening of the man and boy? B   Posted: 11/21/2023 10:39:24
