About the Image(s)

This was taken at the Cape Verdean Parade pre covid. There is a large population in New Bedford and they have a parade every year or use to. I stubbled on in the first year I was here. It was a wonderful parade. It was in the middle of a very sunny some day. I tried to take it down some in Luninar Neo.

Used my Rebel XS f9 1/400 sec 90 mm iso200.

Sally, Cape Verde or Cabo Verde as the Portuguese named the Island is located in the Central Atlantic Ocean and it is formed by 10 volcanic island, forming part of the Macronesia together with Azores, Madeira (both Portuguese) and Canary Islands.
It interesting that there is a community of Cape Verdians in New Bedford. The parade looks well organized and the outfits are very colorful. Good POV. Good PP but I think that still can benefit of additional light in the shadows   Posted: 08/05/2022 07:21:12

Sally - wonderful action shot. I can feel the motion of each of the girls as they dance down the street. Their smiles are contagious. I wonder if you could crop a little further and try to eliminate the guy with the cooler on the right hand side? Did you know that the band Tavares mostly came from New Bedford? Sally, nice action shot. You caught the dancers at the right moment and the view is unobstructed. I also like the red line on the road which serves to anchor the dancers. Nice bit of history provided by Isaac! I agree that the man in the yellow shirt should be cropped, although he looks like he would like to join in.   Posted: 08/16/2022 06:04:00
