About the Image(s)

This image was taken in Passau several years ago. When travelling, I like taking pictures of storm drain covers which usually identify the name of the city, in this case Passau. The colored bricks indicate a certain path through the city. Camera specs are 1/125 sec, f/8 ISO 100. Usual post processing using global edits in Lightroom and PS.

Gloria - I like how you were able to capture color, motion and space in this image. Looking at the colored bricks ---- did they continue as a path? A Passau version of 'Follow the Yellow Brick Road"? I imagine you were walking behind these two when you took the image. The perspective of the stones leading to the top of the image (larger to smaller) helps the viewer with action. Gloria,
Love the colours and the simple composition. As Bruce has identified it does leave you curious as to how far the road goes. I also wonder if there is a game or rules. The crop helps focus on that road.   Posted: 05/10/2022 17:47:09

Gloria, I also like to photograph the storm drain covers a.k.a manhole covers, and this ones gives the location (travel Photography). I like the way the legs are placed on the frame and following the colored bricks which indirectly creates a path. Another example of less is more. Perhaps I would crop some of the left (my left) of the frame   Posted: 05/10/2022 18:13:10
