About the Image(s)

Nikon D5000 Tamron 18-35mm

Photo is from a charity bicycle tour in Portland Oregon. I set camera to 3 frame burst and selected this photo from the group as the peeking girl presented a comfortable mysterious effect. Photo was post processed with global settings in a long gone Apple standard feature.

Dan, more than suspicious, the girl looks more like surprised by the movement of the plastic hands. Her face is almost completely blocked by the hand, and the presence of the adult looking away from you is complementary. The half amputated wheel in the background is slightly distracting, darkening it balances the opposite side darkness. It has some mystery as well.   Posted: 09/14/2021 21:51:32

Surprising composition, a hand that hides a large part of the face. This makes the photo interesting. The top right corner should be a bit darker .   Posted: 09/15/2021 10:29:38

Dan ...these red hands looks like "clappers" ..noisy and the red color would attract attention; but fun all the same in a street fair atmosphere. The girl's eye behind the eye adds to the quirkiness of the image. The wheel on the top right of the frame adds to fill that corner for balance.   Posted: 09/17/2021 05:44:02

Interesting image with the young girl looking towards the photographer. To enhance the viewers focus on the girl's face you might want to darken the clapper on the lower right and than use a radial filter to darken the image other then the girl's face. B   Posted: 09/17/2021 07:54:20
