About the Image(s)

This image was taken in Jerusalem a few years ago. I was able to isolate the vendor in the center. I have included the original uncropped version. I decided to include the woman of the left to add some interest but appreciate any feed back as to the "cropping" of the image. Camera specs are 1/160 sec at f 5.6 ISO 500.

Gloria, you were able to find a window to create this image. Your crop left the amputated woman on the left of the frame, walking unexpectedly into the scene creating surprise. Cropping her out would live a very simple snapshot. The siting vendor is obviously aware of your presence and the camera. Most of the times they do not like to be photographed. On the purple box with vegetables there are some Hebrew characters which help to give the location. The image is sharp. The black plastic bag is full of miniature egg plants which is an important ingredient in the middle eastern diet.   Posted: 05/06/2021 12:36:47

Gloria, I think the vendor is interesting and evokes emotion. Her custome and wares around her add additional interest. I like your color and low brightness which add energy to the photo. I also like the ladies position off center on a lower right power point. Sorry but I find the person on the R a distraction.   Posted: 05/11/2021 15:20:56

I liked how there is vertical lines on the ground and horizontal lines in the background, this makes it attractive. And it is beautiful to see characters from two different languages as there is an Arabic word in the upper left corner. It would be perfect if we had the lady on the left inside the frame.   Posted: 05/20/2021 11:54:42

Colors, lines and subject matter all go together well. You created an interesting image by simplifying it through your cropping. I like the women entering the scene AND she maintains the aubergine color motif in the photo. Nice capture and post-processed to make it a wonderful image. B   Posted: 05/20/2021 15:34:15

A market scene of a saleswoman who waits for customers a bit bored. Soft colours. The image is very narrowly cut and shows either too little or too much. Best to solve during the recording, take several photos, return and take more photos until everything is perfectly in scene.   Posted: 05/21/2021 08:20:58

Lines. I love the lines which help impact the story of a vendor wondering why are you photographing me. Without the women on left I believe the story would be loneliness. Had you captured more of that woman I believe the scene would have been spoiled.   Posted: 05/27/2021 12:31:47
