About the Image(s)
This is a detailed close-up of a section of fence at the japanese Tea Garden in the MO Botanical Garden. I liked the lines and textures, as well as the blurred background colors.

First blush I thought this should be cropped to only the knot. Then on the second look i see more story telling in what you have shown. Good eye.   Posted: 11/11/2023 14:39:20
Hi Cindy - I really like this. Your composition has both depth and balance, and as Chuck says, it all tells a story. There is great detail in the knot and good complementary geometry.   Posted: 11/19/2023 22:00:43
Nice image; I agree, the textures are great - the wood, the knot. I like that the frayed end of the knot is at a diagonal which adds strength to the composition.   Posted: 11/20/2023 16:28:39
Cindy, I think this is a great image. You know it is a knot, but I like how you lose the context of what exactly you are looking at. Is it a fence? Is it a wall? I like the intrigue. I also like, as always, the way you capture the beauty of different textures next to each other.   Posted: 11/21/2023 08:51:38
Great composition to have the knot in on the right side, and the frayed rope drawing us to the knot. Leaving the upper part of the image was a good idea, as it adds to the story.   Posted: 11/25/2023 12:42:06

Perfection of the imperfect. Many elements came together for you here.   Posted: 11/28/2023 21:52:05
