January 2022 - George's Yellow Hibiscus

About the Image(s)

This is a picture of a yellow hibiscus grown by a neighbor. My settings were 1/100, f/18 and ISO 800 on a tripod and using a 90mm lens.

Beautiful job. It is often hard to keep the entire hibiscus in focus and you have done it so well. Love the details, soft colors and gentle curves. The dark background sets it off so well. My only suggestion is to lighten the stem a little so the flower is grounded and does not appear to be floating.   Posted: 01/11/2022 10:45:19

Great shot! I agree with Cindy. I would lighten up the stem and maybe a little of the flower on the left side as well. I do love the soft colors too.   Posted: 01/13/2022 13:57:17

Luv this image. Hibiscus have such nice flowing lines. It looks like the hi lighted areas on the petals have some yellow in them. You might be able to make the image pop even more by using your yellow slider to boast that color, esp. in the hi lights.   Posted: 01/17/2022 11:48:08
