About the Image(s)

This iguana was taken in Florida. To turn it into a painting, I extracted him from the original, rotated him to a better position, and placed him onto a hand painted background. The iguana was painted with various mixer brushes in Photoshop. I did use some creative license though, by painting it with a striped configuration, rather than paint each cell of its body. Lastly, I created a “land based” version by adding grasses to the base, and a “sea based” version by using a flood filter to create a waterscape.

Wow, this is fabulous. I love your paint strokes and the resultant texture. Your decision to create stripes instead of scales was a dynamic choice. They make this image just pop. Also, the background just fits so perfectly. Outstanding work, again.   Posted: 05/15/2022 12:31:33

You virtually created your artwork all over again and your end result is how you, the artist, planned it. Your background is most suitable and your Iguana quite different and prominent. Well done with your creation Cindy.   Posted: 05/21/2022 04:26:52

Cool image and I like what you did to the sharpness of the eye! I guess I would prefer the water version. Your background choice also helps set the moood for the image. The choice of lines makes this look more prehistoric. The iguana also would be a cool tatto!   Posted: 05/22/2022 11:46:10
