About the Image(s)

Oak leaves submerged in a rock's puddle and also draped on top with freshly fallen leaves creates a nice abstract set against reflections of tree trunks and sky. Tech stuff: iPhone image. While out shooting a river’s rapids, I looked down into a puddle and saw this so took a snap with my iPhone “ I always try looking down to spot anything of interest. Standard PS and LR processing then put it into Topaz Studio for painting.

Wow..... I love this. And if you don't tell viewers that they are seeing a puddle it looks as if the leaves are literally falling from the tree - this is what I loved about this image. It looks as if you caught the leaves in motion as they fell. The painting strokes on the leaves are great. Wouldn't change a thing and I admire you for "seeing" this image.   Posted: 11/14/2021 10:14:29

This is beautiful. The strong complementary colors of blue around the orange leaves are eye-catching. You did a fabulous job with extending the leaves in the upper left and saturating the colors of blue and orange. Excellent post-processing and painting pre-sets really brings this all together.   Posted: 11/17/2021 18:07:09

A new motto for us all: Always Look Down! Your enhancements in deepening the colors, especially blues and golds give the picture more snap. The puddle is no longer evident in the final painting but some interesting texture on the leaves is. Well-done.   Posted: 11/18/2021 11:07:08
