Wild Bergamot, also know as Bee Balm or Horsemint, attracts bees, butterflies and beetles. It is used is folk medicine as a mint tea for respiratory and digestive ailments. This perennial likes sunny fields and prairies. Tech stuff: ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/50 sec., manual exposure, center weighted average metering, 200mm focal length. Standard RAW processing in LR then PS, put into TopazStudio for painting, hen back into LR for a few gradients, and finishing in PS with some burning.

This is an excellent painting. Your optimization choices added contrast and vibrance that took the original capture to a higher, artistic level.
