About the Image(s)

Narcissus is a Greek name that became linked to this plant. It doubles as both the common name and scientific moniker for about 50 different flower varieties, including all the common Daffodils. The name comes from a Greek word for narcotic, but it is also tied to the myth of Narcissus. The narcissus is the December birth flower and symbolizes good wishes, faithfulness, and respect. Technical: f/5.6, 1/500 sec., ISO 400, +1 exposure bias, 200mm focal length, center weighted average metering. I cropped closely in on the center of flower in PS then imported into LR for basic touches. The artistic elements were within Topaz Studio, then into LR to apply a white vignette.

I love how you've "extracted" the soft and subtle center of this Narcissus. I especially now love the yellow lines that are radiating from the center. It gives the image some movement. Great job, I wouldn't change a thing.   Posted: 06/17/2021 17:25:31
