Low Tide At the Bridge by Gail McTaggart

November 2021 - Low Tide At the Bridge

About the Image(s)

We travelled down to Bridgewater Bay to catch the water cascading over the rocks as the tide went out, alas a bit late. Nevertheless, I managed to capture this beauty. Not sure if it needs a bit more contrast in the colour of the grapes. Just Basic Lightroom editing

Looks like a beautiful location to photograph. Would be nice to be there in the early morning or during twilight. You asked about contrast and what I see is that the whole photos needs a bit more "pop" to it. Attached a screenshot with some small tweaks to try and give it that "pop". Take it with a grain of salt though as its obviously only one view. :)   Posted: 11/12/2021 09:27:16

Thanks Matt, that helps a lot. It's amazing how a little tweak can change a photo,   Posted: 11/14/2021 21:02:13

I really like the rock formations and all of the different puddles created by low tide. The composition is great! Looks like you have a substantial tide there. The extra pop that Matt produced is, I think, helpful.   Posted: 11/15/2021 13:54:27

A very nice spot to catch a sunrise or sunset. And let this be the foreground. The rock formations are very interesting, well done.   Posted: 11/20/2021 17:14:00

This looks like a very calm and peaceful spot and a great place to capture images. The first thing that I noticed about this image was how the straight line of the greenery drew my eye to the little rock like/bridge structure and right to the little hole in the center. Interesting lines. The colors are lovely and I love the tide pools.

Nicely done combination of water, rocks, grapes, green and brown leading to the interesting rock formation with the center hole.   Posted: 11/26/2021 15:29:53
