About the Image(s)

Taken with my new Nikon mirrorless.,,, what a beautiful camera. We are still in lockdown here in Melbourne with 15km travel restrictions, well, I'm over it and went radical this morning and travelled 50 odd kms to Cape Schanck to catch the sunrise. Cape Schanck is such a beautiful place, it's a nice walk down about 1000 steps to the bottom (not such a nice walk up), The sunrise was a soft peach colour, however it was the light on these mountains and the water grapes(for the want of a better name) that really caught my eye,

I used a 24mm prime lens. F1, 1/20 ISO 100. This is a 9 shot pano.

You broke out of lock down for a beautiful shot! So pleasant, with the soft autumn colors offset by the water and my eyes traveling from the bottom left to the mountains and out to sea at the right.   Posted: 10/10/2021 16:41:41

Thanks Marianne, although it is spring in Sunny Australia.   Posted: 10/21/2021 00:42:20

A great breakout shot. The light on the mountains is comfortably golden. The group of stones in the foreground leads the the eye to the mountains, well done.   Posted: 10/17/2021 09:54:00

This is a lovely landscape image with nice coloring. I love the way the foreground mountains and rocks are lit and the mountains lead my eyes to the right off to the ocean. It looks like a very calm and peaceful spot.

A beautiful and peaceful looking place, Good sharpness from front to back. The foreground is very interesting. I might have brought down the highlights in the sky to make the blue pop a little more and the clouds stand out.   Posted: 10/19/2021 15:52:13

I like the color and sharpness. The pools of water in the foreground are a definite plus. I would recommend working on the sky. What's the opinion of popping in a new sky from PS? Is it cheating or is it appropriate in certain settings?   Posted: 10/21/2021 09:23:35
