September 2021 - Waterfall

About the Image(s)

Taken in Tasmania, this lovely waterfall was an easy 1 minute walk in the back blocks up Cradle Mountain. The day was wet,the roads were mudding, but under the thick foliage was this beauty.

Taken with my D850 ISO 80 F10 @ 13 secs, with a 6 stop filter. Edited in photoshop with a gradient filter added.

So beautiful and inviting, I wish I was there! The sharp green ferns and the tree branches nicely frame the waterfall, which is nicely blurred.   Posted: 09/20/2021 09:40:32

Gail I like the softness of the water along with the framing with the trees and leaves. Not sure on the lower left side, the leaf there is a bit distracting. Debating whether I'd crop past that or not.   Posted: 09/22/2021 22:04:36

Such soft flowing water creates great beauty. I'm not always a fan of making waterfalls soft but here it works well. The greens and browns are very good and the log across the water adds interest. Well done.   Posted: 09/23/2021 11:34:25
