Fun yard display. I think it needs some sharpening of the lighted items and some emphasis on the red skeleton in the tree. Thoughts?   Posted: 11/17/2023 12:46:18

Welcome Robbin,
Halloween decorations add to seasonal fun as the days shorten. Suggest experimenting with cropping. I'd begin with the house on the far right. Agree with Tom on the skeleton.   Posted: 11/17/2023 13:11:51

Delightful capture of this charming display. I'm enjoying exploring the lanterns, and wondered if doing them as a pano if it would tell their story even more fully.   Posted: 11/17/2023 13:30:08

I appreciate your suggestion and have to agree that the crop helps highlight the characters   Posted: 11/19/2023 08:15:28

I feel those funny faces under the blue hour is a big plus. It adds some mysteries to the image. So I would keep the sky. also I would like to keep some of the faces sharp but not all of them.   Posted: 11/26/2023 05:48:50

Really well done; I would just crop out the little shack or garage on the left   Posted: 11/26/2023 16:05:16

I tried darkening the house & garage to put more emphasis on the lanterns but keep the context   Posted: 11/27/2023 03:51:48

Thanks everyone for your input; interesting to see everyone's take. I believe I like Tom's suggestions most as it keeps my intention of documenting neighborhood halloween displays. The blue hour was intentional and important as well as the houses - it defines the neighborhood environment for this particular display. Looking forward to the next discussion!   Posted: 11/27/2023 06:14:00
