About the Image(s)

My mother came out to visit us in late August. We take her on a road trip every year, this year was to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Smoke from the fires in California and Oregon made the sky hazy some days but also made great sunrises. This shot was taken at Grand Prismatic Spring just after sunrise. The steam was constantly moving--one moment we could see the trees, the next moment they were obliterated. Here, I liked the transition from clearly visible trees to mostly hidden ones. I didn’t add any contrast but kept the soft dreaminess of the scene.

Oh my! Mother nature has given you a marvelous vignette. But it takes someone with your talent to take the lemons and make the lemonade. I'm entranced by your composition and the spacial relationships within it. Lovely shot!   Posted: 10/11/2021 15:48:46

Absolutely scrumptious, Brenda. This should be on exhibit somewhere. There isn't a thing wrong with this image.   Posted: 10/29/2021 10:40:07
