Jody is the name of the Gardner. She was amazed at her success with these and she actually had two more off to the side. I used Snapseed to deep or intensify the greens and cropped closely. The monochromatic colors worked well too, I thought. Sol

A really interesting shot. These gourds look like the schmoos in Dogpatch (for those of you old enough to remember them). Or they could be pin headed critters of some kind. A fun image to mentally play with. Posted: 11/06/2023 08:49:00
Sol, you continue to find very unique sights and things along your walks. I like your cropping and composition results. I also like the grasses coming out from the bottom left corner of the image. Cropping makes a difference from and snapshot to a real eye catching photograph. If you asked me how to improve the image, I would have just one idea. The top of the left gourd has a stem that is almost too long. This stem could be cropped a little to give room to the edge of the photo. I really like the greens of the image. Fun capture that begs us to make up a story to accompany it. Maybe it's a conversation between the gourds who are hiding in the garden. The center one is leaning-in to whisper something to the right one while left one serves as the look out. Well, that's my story anyway. I think the mostly green color works. It's an image that stimulates my imagination.

I'm not good at growing plants. Sol, your gourds look to be in good shape. Having 3 gourds and other plants in front and back of the gourds make for a nice photo. The green gourds also make the photo standout. Well done Sol. I enjoy seeing your photos. Keep it up! Posted: 11/08/2023 15:38:44

I can visualize this image as a caricature. If I could draw I would try my hand at it. The tall gourd is papa, the right gourd is mama and the middle one is the teenage son looking up for direction. As others have said, your image has stimulated my imagination and isn't it fun when our photos can do that. Well done. Posted: 11/12/2023 14:22:11
