A Private Seminary Library scene by Jerry Hug, APSA

May 2023 - A Private Seminary Library scene

About the Image(s)

I used the Halide app shot in RAW. I like the resulting clean depth of field. I then used Snapseed to correct the perspective. Image was hand held. Being new to Halide, I used in the automatic mode. Like any Library, there was no talking or noise allowed. Comments welcome.

Impressive capture, Jerry. I had not heard of Halide, so I'll look into it. Nice peaceful setting. Having a person looking the other way gives context without appearing to be a portrait. Great light and warm feeling, too.

This image is incredibly sharp, which gives the image a clean and crisp look. Tell us more about Halide. The info on the app store site is completely opaque about cost for purchase or (God forbid) subscription costs.   Posted: 05/02/2023 19:21:39

Yes, there is a yearly cost. Or a lifetime one time cost ####?   Posted: 05/03/2023 09:02:22

It has, color, depth and a mood. I wonder what Halide brought to the scene? The lamp right in the front might not be needed?   Posted: 05/05/2023 14:03:15

Love the light, colors, sharpness, a person to add interest. It all works to make an excellent image. We need some more information on the app you used.   Posted: 05/13/2023 14:48:28
